I finished editing after sitting at my desktop for about 7 hours straight. I did best with what I had. I tried to make the film seem as professional as possible. But, my group was not consistent of the most professional people. We have finished completely, all that will be left is to upload it to give to our teacher.
Finished filming
Over break, my group and I finished filming all of our scenes. Not including some weather and personal complications, It went smooth. My participants were not very good actors. But, we did what we could in the most professional manner. I will start editing at home and complete our task.
Categories
Before filming our last day, we reconfirmed who was assigned to what. I was in charge of editing and most of the filming. This was because I was most definitely not going to be in front of that camera. My group mates were apart of the filming process, so we discussed how they would continue to hold that position. We also discussed our upcoming deadline and our plan to get there.
Reassurance
I checked up on the participants and group members on what was next to come. We discussed contacting our participants for another film date. We also discussed different areas to film such as Holiday Park for larger scenes. This was because Floranada Park is smaller in comparison. Weather on the date predicted to film was discussed as well.
Dates for filming
As previously decided, my group and I decided to mainly film over spring break, regarding any sort of external factors. We started filming on the first Monday. I kept getting called by a coworker to cover her shift that was in 30 minutes, but we were in the middle of filming. After the interruption of that phone call, we continued with what we could and I took everyone participating home. We didn’t finish filming that day due to some personal issues and external factors, but we planned to film later in the week.
Props and People
For props we mainly used a soccer ball as our main theme was around soccer. We are going to rely on the parks for providing nets and goals. As a group, we also contacted numerous people that may be willing to play a part in our film. Some participants we had to bribe with food. But, we were able to get some participants on board.
Continuing film discussion
My group and I got more into depth of our availability. At the time, I had just started my job not long ago, so my hours were mainly Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We discussed requesting off on a day we had no school, such as spring break. We decided to try to film most of our scenes at Floranada Park on a specific day. Whatever we can’t finish would be attempted to film later in the week.
The Start of filming
My group and I in class had turned in our story board last class. We talked about getting started with the filming process. We decided that we didn’t need to check out a camera for this film, because I have a good quality camera at hands whenever needed. We also discussed who would play the parts of each character. Along with our filming schedule, we as students with part-time jobs discussed our weekly schedule so we could find compatible days.
